NO.1 The origin of water meter
Water meter originated in Europe. In 1825, Britain's Klaus invented the balance tank water meter with real instrument characteristics, followed by reciprocating single piston water meter,multi-jet vane type water meter and helical vane type water meter.
The use and production of water meters in China started late. In 1879, China's first water plant was born in Lushunkou. In 1883, British businessmen established the second water plant in Shanghai, and water meters began to be introduced into China. In the 1990s, China's economic continued to develop at a high speed, the water meter industry also developed rapidly, the number of enterprises and the total output doubled, at the same time, various intelligent water meters, water meter reading system and other products began to rise.
NO.2 Mechanical water meter and intelligent water meter
Mechanical water meter
Mechanical water meter is used to continuously measure, memorize and display the volume of water flowing through the measuring pipeline under rated working conditions. The basic structure is mainly composed of mete body, cover, measuring mechanism, counting mechanism, etc.
Mechanical water meter, also known as the traditional water meter, is a kind of water meter which is widely used by users. With mature technology, low price and high measurement accuracy, mechanical water meter still occupies an important position in today's widespread popularity of intelligent water meter.
Intelligent water meter
Intelligent water meter is a new type of water meter which uses modern microelectronics technology, modern sensor technology and intelligent IC card technology to measure water consumption, transfer water data and settle accounts. Compared with the traditional water meter, which only has the function of flow collection and mechanical pointer display of water consumption, it is a great progress.
Intelligent water meter has powerful functions, such as prepayment, insufficient balance alarm, no manual meter reading. Besides recording and electronic display of water consumption, it can also control water consumption according to the agreement, and automatically complete the calculation of water charge of step water price, and can store water data at the same time.

By temperature
It is divided into cold water meter and hot water meter.
According to the medium temperature, it can be divided into cold water meter and hot water meter
(1) Cold water meter: the lower limit temperature of medium is 0 ℃ and the upper limit temperature is 30 ℃.
(2) Hot water meter: water meter with medium lower limit temperature of 30 ℃ and upper limit of 90 ℃ or 130 ℃ or 180 ℃.
The requirements of different countries are slightly different, some countries can reach the upper limit of 50 degrees Celsius.
By pressure
It is divided into ordinary water meter and high pressure water meter.
According to the pressure used, it can be divided into ordinary water meter and high pressure water meter. In China, the nominal pressure of ordinary water meter is generally 1MPa. High pressure water meter is a kind of water meter with maximum working pressure more than 1MPa. It is mainly used to measure underground water injection and other industrial water flowing through pipelines.
No.4 Water meter reading.
The unit of measurement of water meter volume is cubic meter (M3). The meter reading count shall be recorded in the whole number of cubic meters, and the mantissa less than 1 cubic meter shall be included in the next round.
The pointer is indicated by different colors. Those with division value greater than or equal to 1 cubic meter are black and must be read. Those less than 1 cubic meter are all red. This reading is not required.
NO.5 Can the water meter be repaired by ourselves?
Any water meter in the presence of abnormal problems, can not be disassembled and repaired without permission, users can directly complain to the business office of the water company, and send personnel to repair with the water company.
